Profile & Matching Data

  • Photos: Profile photos (3-6 images) uploaded by you
  • Verification Documents: ID and selfie for profile verification badges (processed securely and deleted after verification)
  • Match Interactions: Likes, passes, and match history
  • Match Data: Matched profiles and interaction history
  • Preference Settings: Age range, distance preferences, and filter settings

Messaging Data

  • Messages: Chat messages, photos, and media shared in conversations
  • Conversation History: Message timestamps, read receipts, and online status
  • Reported Content: Reports of inappropriate behavior or content

Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Data: Features used, session duration, and interaction patterns

  • Deleted Accounts: Data deleted within 90 days of account deletion (except legal requirements)
  • Verification Documents: Deleted immediately after verification is complete
  • Backups: Deleted data removed from backups within 30 days
  • Analytics Data: Anonymous, aggregated data retained indefinitely

You can request early deletion of data that is not subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Location & Matching Privacy

Location Detection

  • We may detect your location to enable distance-based matching
  • Location detection is optional and can be disabled in settings
  • You can manually set your location and distance preferences
  • Location data is used only for matching and is not shared with other users (only approximate distance is shown)
  • GPS coordinates are stored securely and used only for matching calculations

Matching Algorithm

Our matching algorithm uses your preferences, location (if enabled), and interaction patterns to suggest compatible matches. This data is processed anonymously and aggregated to improve matching quality.

9. Cookies and Tracking

LM Dating uses minimal tracking technologies:
