Delete Your Account

Permanently remove your LM Dating account and data

We're sorry to see you go

Important: Account Deletion is Permanent

Deleting your account is irreversible. Once deleted, you will not be able to recover your profile, matches, messages, or any other data associated with your account.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the LM Dating app:

  1. Open the LM Dating app on your device
  2. Go to Settings (tap the gear icon or your profile)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Account Settings"
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Read the information about what will be deleted
  6. Confirm your decision by tapping "Delete My Account"
  7. Enter your password or verify your identity when prompted

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to support@dealfusion.co.uk
  2. Use the subject line: "LM Dating Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your LM Dating account
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request

What Data Will Be Deleted

Data That Will Be Permanently Deleted

  • Your profile information (name, bio, prompts, preferences)
  • All profile photos you uploaded
  • Your matches and match history
  • All messages and conversations
  • Your likes, passes, and interaction history
  • Location data and distance preferences
  • Verification status and documents (if applicable)
  • Notification preferences and settings
  • Purchase history (after legal retention period)

Data Retained Temporarily

  • Transaction records: Kept for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
  • Safety reports: May be retained if you reported or were reported for safety concerns
  • Anonymous analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data

Deletion Timeline

Immediate

Your profile is hidden from other users and you are logged out

Within 30 Days

Grace period where you can contact support to recover your account if deleted by mistake

Within 90 Days

All personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems

Within 120 Days

Data is purged from all backup systems

Important: Cancel Your Subscription First

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through your app store to avoid future charges.

Cancel on iOS (Apple App Store)

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find LM Dating and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Cancel on Android (Google Play Store)

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
  4. Find LM Dating and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel subscription

Before You Go

Export Your Data

Before deleting your account, you can export a copy of your data:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Export My Data
  • Choose your preferred format (JSON or CSV)
  • Download and save your data before deletion

Alternatives to Deletion

If you need a break, consider these alternatives:

  • Pause your profile: Hide from discovery without losing data
  • Disable notifications: Take a break without deleting
  • Update preferences: Adjust settings if something isn't working for you

Your Privacy Rights

Under UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to Data Portability: Export your data before deletion
  • Right to be Informed: Know what data we hold about you
  • Right to Object: Object to certain processing of your data
