Delete Your Account

Permanently remove your Postd account and data

We're sorry to see you go

Important: Account Deletion is Permanent

Deleting your account is irreversible. Once deleted, you will not be able to recover your virtual address, mail history, company formation records, or any other data associated with your account.

Before You Delete

Please consider the following before deleting your Postd account:

  • Your virtual address will be deactivated. Any mail sent to your Postd address after deletion will be returned to sender after 30 days.
  • Update your registered office address. If your Postd address is used as a registered office with Companies House, you must file form AD01 to change it before or promptly after deletion.
  • Download your documents. Download any scanned mail, company formation documents, or records you need before requesting deletion.
  • Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Postd app on your device
  2. Go to Settings (tap the gear icon or your profile)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Account Settings"
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Read the information about what will be deleted
  6. Confirm your decision by tapping "Delete My Account"
  7. Enter your password or verify your identity when prompted

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to support@dealfusion.co.uk
  2. Use the subject line: "Postd Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your Postd account
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request

What Data Will Be Deleted

Data That Will Be Permanently Deleted

  • Your account information (name, email, phone number)
  • Your virtual address allocation and suite number
  • Scanned mail documents and PDFs
  • Mail classification data and metadata
  • Notification preferences and settings
  • Team member access and permissions
  • App usage data and preferences

Data Retained for Legal Compliance

UK law requires us to retain certain records even after account deletion:

  • KYC / identity verification records: retained for 5 years after end of business relationship (UK Money Laundering Regulations 2017)
  • Company formation records: retained for up to 10 years (UK company law obligations)
  • Transaction and billing records: retained for up to 7 years (HMRC requirements)
  • Anonymised analytics: aggregated, non-identifiable usage data

Deletion Timeline

Immediate

Your account is deactivated. Your virtual address stops receiving new mail.

Within 30 Days

Grace period — you can contact support to recover your account if deleted by mistake. Any mail received at your address during this period will be held and then returned to sender.

Within 90 Days

All personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems (except legally required records).

Within 120 Days

Data is purged from all backup systems.

Cancel Your Subscription First

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel through your app store to avoid future charges.

Cancel on iOS (Apple App Store)

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find Postd and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Cancel on Android (Google Play Store)

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
  4. Find Postd and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel subscription

Your Privacy Rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

  • Right to Erasure: request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to Data Portability: export your data before deletion
  • Right to be Informed: know what data we hold about you
  • Right to Object: object to certain processing of your data
